About
I’m Sumeet, and this is my blog. It’s gone through several stages, but none of them ever satisfied me for more than a few months.
Around mid-January of 2006, I realized I was never satisfied with my website because I wanted a personal brand, but I wasn’t wililng to dedicate the time to develop it. The result was several redesigns that looked different from their predecessors but ultimately fell short of achieving anything remarkable.

This left me with two options. Either I dedicate myself to a personal brand and do the job right, or else I don’t aim for a personal brand at all and simply publish a website that is readable and not painful to the eyes.
I went with the latter option, so this website runs the Blix theme by Sebastian Schmieg. I only supply the content, so any design-related compliments should be directed to him.
For those who are curious, you might be interested to know that I’m a web designer/developer (deseloper?) from San Diego, Malibu, Folsom, and currently residing in San Jose working in Santa Clara. I like to watch lots of movies, talk about anything with anyone, and hang out with my friends. I absolutely hate working out (so I don’t do it), but I love playing games and sports. As of this writing, I play Volleyball with my family and friends on Saturday mornings, and I’m always open to a pick-up game of anything.

As far as preferences go, I like rock and easy listening (my iPod has lots of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Kinks, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, and Red Hot Chili Peppers). I like food that I’ve cooked more than most other foods, but when eating out I prefer Italian and Indian food. I don’t like Greek food much, and Hummus is just gross. I like Macs, though I own a PC (given to me by my company - it’s a Toshiba ThinkPad T43). The design of Windows hurts my soul, so I’ve re-styled it to meet my needs. Yes, I have a dock like the one in Macs.

For a more detailed and intrusive look at my personal life, check out my Photos. Generally work-safe.
