Describe the Situation (Prize)
May 28th, 2006
I’ve written a simple and vague scenario below. You can ask ‘Yes/No’ questions in the comments section, and I’ll answer them to guide you to a better understanding of the scenario. The first person to fully describe the scenario’s details (in the comments section, please) will win a $20 gift certificate to Amazon. There are a couple stipulations:
- Don’t search for the answer or question on a search engine.
- If you already know the answer, please don’t spoil this for others. It’s not a huge prize, so it’s really not worth being the first person to comment and blurting out the answer.
Without further ado…
A man is found lying on the ground. He’s dead, and there is a rock a couple feet away from him.
So what’s going on?

The man tripped, hit his head on the rock, slowly tried to get up to get help, realized he had a terrible concussion, passed out and died?

David | May 29th, 2006 at 5:38 pm
The man was hit by the meteorite and died.
Or the meteorite ricocheted into the man and killed him.
Or the man was observing a meteor shower when he was hit by one large enough to not dissipate in the atmosphere, fell on the ground and died.

I contest this answer on at least 2 grounds:
1. Unless the kryptonite was Green, it wouldn’t be fatal to Superman. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kryptonite
2. Superman is not technically a “man,” but rather a Kryptonian.
Trivia: Superman’s birthname was “Kal-El.”
PS: I’m just messing with you.

Maz! You’re absolutely right. David, no money for you.
Just kidding, though you are right. But I think an argument could be made that Superman is a man and a Kryptonian, because Clark Kent is certainly a man.
