The unfettered positivity expressed by these wise and charming women inspired me to reevaluate my definition of wisdom. I went to India with the belief that wisdom was centered around information. I returned from India confident that wisdom is actually rooted in experience and reflection.

At the risk of getting into semantics: Experience and reflection seem to be requirements for achieving wisdom, whereas the effective use of information is likely a consequence of being wise.

What is wisdom but the ability to live well?

It’s regretful that I spent so long studying information that was supposed to teach me how to be kind, have fun, and interact meaningfully. Life, like many things, is never mastered; but you can get close with practice.
