that's a great idea. i love the idea of the house being as practical as possible. i'm trying to convince my parents of buying triple paneled windows to insulate the house better. it gets freezing in the winters. yes in san diego.

As for practicality, I'm with you 95%. Or perhaps I'm with you 100% but with the caveat that practicality never overtake beauty or meaning. And if anyone reading this is thinking that it's strange to talk about beauty and meaning when talking about a house, please think long and hard about what your reaction means.
